One of our favourite parts of travel is trying food in new places! Does anyone have dish or restaurant recommendations in Kotor or in Montenegro in general? Thanks everyone! 🇲🇪🍝
@@JasonandMelissaTravel thanks so much for watching! We’re actually going back on Saturday as it’s my birthday (Mitch)! And what a perfect place to have a birthday dinner!! We are excited for your next video!!!
Well thank you so much John! We love getting feedback like this, so thank you! Also - wow, have we actually gone to a place in the world that you have not been too?? 😂 We can highly recommend! Lovely city to walk! We definitely have to try some of the hikes aa well. Also a very affordable location (at least in off season) and the weather has been just gorgeous! Thanks for always watching and leaving us a note! Cheers buddy! ❤️
Thank you so much Sharon!! We LOVE it here! The scenery does not even seem real. Our view will absolutely NEVER get old! So happy that you loved this video, we are excited to be overseas again and excited to keep improving our videos 😊
They really are awesome! We can't believe we didn't take advantage of them before! We were going to do one in London, but the schedule didn't align with our short stay. We will definitely be doing more of them in the future! The guide gave us great information on restaurants and local attractions as well (what is worth doing and what isn't in his opinion). Great to get the local perspective.
Hahaha! 😂 The temps here are perfect! Not blazing hot, although 17 degrees here, feels like 25 in the sun! The forecast just keeps looking spectacular too!! Thanks for watching and leaving us a comment! Cheers 🥂
Thank you so much!! It is so stunning here, it almost seems unreal! The pasta was sooo good! We wil definitely be back to sample some of the other dishes (I had my eye on the Pesto Pasta as well!! LOL. We are so excited to be overseas again!! Thanks for hanging out with us until we came back! LOL. We have some exciting spots lined up this year! Thanks for leaving us a comment! ❤️. Cheers! 🥂
Great video! We had burek and black risotto in Croatia and I think they are both popular in Montenegro as well. Delicious! If you see either, I would highly recommend.
Yes! I believe those are both Montenegrin dishes as well! We have a bakery near us with Burek, so we will definitely try that. I think they eat it for breakfast if I am correct. We had black linquine in Portugal last year, and we are guessing the blaxk risotto is the same idea - squid ink?? Thanks for the ideas! We will let you know how we like them both! Cheers! 🥂
@@mitchandjan we had an amazing seafood dinner at Restoran Cesarica…we travelled to Dubrovnik, Hvar and Korcula where Marco Polo was born!! Amazing white wines and small family run vineyards in Korcula if you get a chance to visit..
@@BrianKennedy-s3t we were in Croatia in 2022 and LOVED it!! Korcula was one of our favourite spots. We also visited Hvar and Dubrovnik. We definitely want to go back to Croatia!
Thank you so much!! We arrived in Kotor mid-October. It has been perfect. We are still here and most things are still open and people are still swimming in the sea. From what we understand a lot of things (like boat tours) begin shutting down in November. We will keep you posted on that as we are here until mid- November. The accommodation costs are definitely lower this time of year and there are much fewer tourists than peak season, so its been very nice!
We will have to go next year now I think, maybe may or end of Sept, be interesting to see where you stay and costs, we saw you in Portugal, loved the walking you did on the beautiful coast 😊
Thanks so much for watching our videos! I think May or September would be lovely and warm! We will definitely do a cost breakdown at the end of our month and some restaurant reviews with costs. Cheers!!
Omg it’s stunning!!! I’m sure there are cheap flights from France! Highly recommend October!! 👌🏻 Thanks for always giving us a view and a comment guys!! Cheers! 🥂
The cobblestone didn't affect our feet at all actually. We do have pretty sturdy running shoes with a solid sole, so I am sure that helps! I even wore my birkenstocks a bit with no issue (except sliding out of them as we climbed the hill back to our Airbnb LOL)

Guru walks are awesome. We have done “free” tours 3-4 times now. Such a great way to familiarize yourself with a neighbourhood/city.

Were your feet sore from walking on the cobblestone?
